I think that I actually messed up the top of the pattern because it doesn't look quite right. Also, I made the pattern size for a child (suppose to fit a 2-4 year old) but it seems a touch too small. I think that I will make another one soon but add an inch or so to the length so it completely covers his ears.

knitting project
For the last few days I have been MIA in bloggyland. Pretty much any free time I have had for the past 4/5 days has been sucked up by my current knitting project. The project was a winter hat for Malachi. I really wanted to get it done before it got cold since he didn't have a hat. And of course, for the past few days, it has been really warm around here. I just finished his hat last night and had him try it on this morning (that's why he's in his pajamas!). These are some pictures I took of him in the hat. Sorry that they are not better. This is the best I could do with a child that kept running away from the camera and closing his eyes. The pattern for the hat can be found here.

That looks great. Knitting is one thing I have always struggled with! I can crochet, but thats about it.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks great! More like the tighter hats that are in style than a winter hat. Maybe he needs to start skateboarding :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Tracie and Blooming Homestead! BH that is kind of funny because I am not good at crocheting. P.S. I like your new header!
ReplyDeletewas it made with double pointed needles? I stear away from knitted hat patterns with dpn. It looks good!
ReplyDeleteBeth, yes, it was with double pointed needles. I was so scared of them at first but this is my second project using them and it's not too bad. I am still not awesome with stitch markers and that's probably why I messed up.
