Crocheted hat that Alyssa loves (and I made)!
So I am a newly self taught crocheter. I did a little bit of crocheting on the edge of a shawl I knitted 5 years ago, but that's it. I decided to tackle a hat pattern that I thought was cute and that would look cute on my daughter. I got the pattern off the crocheting and knitting website Ravelry (Cheri Hat). For the knitters and crocheters out there, check it out! They have so many great FREE patterns!! I am so happy that this pattern turned out as good as it did, especially since it took me forever to make. I am sure that if I made another one it would only take me half as long. My daughter always wants to wear it :-) Above and below are some pictures of her and the hat.

very cute!
ReplyDeletecute hat. Is there a brim on it? I have made a few hats, but none that anyone will wear! If you want to add that pattern as a link (could you- raverly has so many hats and I want to try yours too), when you are in the editing part, just highlight the words and then 'link' is one of the options on the top bar. A box will pop up and you plug in the www. Good luck with the new blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jacqueline! Beth - By the way, you are one of the people that inspired me to write a blog. Thanks for the advice about the link! I am still trying to find my way around this website!
ReplyDeleteBeth- I hope that works! Let me know if it doesn't. Yes, it has a brim but if I were to make another hat, I think I would make my brim a little bigger and more noticable (especially with the larger hat size).
